Yeah. Teenage girls are difficult to talk to sometimes, but I’d still make every effort to talk to my sister if one of her friends was like this.
With friends like that, who needs enemies?

Yeah, in the interest of not having a bloody, civil war, I’d rather try to correct the economic paradigm that we have rather than instill a new one that will have its own set of unique and terrible problems (for example, see nomenklatura).
The chaos that will arise from the transition will be deadly, terrifying, and profound. It is not something I wish my children to have to go through. So, yeah…of course I’d rather work to fix the system that we have.
The phrase “are ethically wrong” is hilarious. According to whose code of ethics? How are their ethics more moral than someone else’s set of ethics?
There’s literally entire branches of philosophy dedicated to the concept of morals and the concepts of good and evil.
Edit: Also, to add on to this, something can be ethically right but morally wrong, or ethically wrong but morally right.
You fix it pretty easily by just getting the lenses entirely replaced. If you have vision insurance, you can do it entirely for free
Weird can be good…sometimes, depending on the context.
Get a sleep study done. You likely have sleep apnea. You’re likely overweight as well.
Get healthy. Get a CPAP. Get ATLEAST 7-hours of sleep a day (if you do you won’t need naps).
That’s…a really weird way to feel. Essentially, you’d feel safer with someone that lacked empathy? This isn’t your buddy, this is a professional. You’d prefer it if your therapist wasn’t in control of their emotions, and would rather get angry at you than someone simply saying, “It’s okay”?
I wish this was a real Lego set, holy shit.
You guys and your awesome, eco-friendly, life hacks! Where would I be without you?
I was getting ready to say…whoever’s in that Gumby suit is probably terrifying out of the suit as well. Look how big that body has to be to be. Fuckers shoulders are like 6’ off the ground.
Resubmit with a sanitized list of the actual names. I went through the first 5 before realizing you had like 50+.
Soooo…if you blocked him, how is he going to come back when he’s willing to talk? Lol.
We want you to be well-educated, smart, and be a critical thinker that can think fo…wait…no, stop…not like that. We want you to critically think…but also arrive at the same correct conclusions as us…wtf, are you doing?
Nowadays, free time means potential money for a lot of people. If they’re spending their free time making something that you benefit from, I don’t think that it’s too far-fetched that they asked to get compensation for it.
The issue is that they’re trying to get into the federverse, and draw it’s users away. Larger silicon valley companies like this are notorious for buddying up to smaller companies and opportunities like Lemmy, kbin, and Mastodon and then slowly squeezing them out. They want our content and our users, and they’ll kill the fediverse in the process.
Just watch. It’ll start small with requested updates, how we handle content moderation, small requirements, the “we changed for you, you need to change a little for us” approach. And they’ll start asking for other “small” updates here and there that start benefitting Threads more and more, and start choking off the fediverse until we become reliant on them.
Yeah. I realize I didn’t provide much context to my question. I understand it’s Linux and that it’s very pleasing to look at. My question was more about the function of it. Is it just a desktop screenshot or was this supposed to serve some sort of purpose (i.e. server stuff, etc), or demonstrate the function of some sort of program on Linu?.
It sounds like it’s just a screenshot of a personal desktop. Looks cool.
What is this?
We don’t like it today, why would we have liked it then?
